Worcestershire slow left arm spinner Ben Twohig is part of the England Development Programme Under-17 side currently in action against Pakistan Under-17s in a three-day fixture in Abu Dhabi.
Pakistan scored 337-8 declared in their first innings with Twohig, who is part of the county's 2014-2015 academy intake, bowling 23 overs for 75 runs.
The Malvern College pupil was then sent in as nightwatchman at number three at the end of the first day and survived until the close.
Twohig, who has already played second team cricket for the county, made eight off 29 balls with one boundary before he was second out with the total on 21.
Somerset duo Sam Underdown and George Bartlett then figured in a third-wicket partnership of 112.
Bartlett, a right-hander from Millfield School who turns 17 next month, was caught for 46 off 90 balls. But the left-handed Underdown, who made his second team debut for Somerset last summer, went onto 81 from 160 balls.
Northamptonshire’s Saif Zaib, who starred in England’s win in last one-day game against Pakistan on Sunday, continued his good form with 66 from 103 balls.
But the Nottinghamshire wicketkeeper-batsman Tom Moores was the only other player to reach double figures as England were dismissed for 256.
Pakistan then extended their first-innings lead of 81 to 136 for the loss of only one wicket, taken by Surrey’s Sam Curran, as they reched 55-1 by the end of the second day. Twohig bowled one over for 10 runs.
