Worcestershire will be looking to combat the threat of a recent team-mate of theirs in Alex Hales when they take on Nottinghamshire in tonight's NatWest T20 Blast match at Trent Bridge.
Hales spent a spell on loan at New Road as cover for Moeen Ali when on England duty and scored 15 and 63 in the LV = County Championship match with Glamorgan at the Swalec Stadium.
His stay with the county was cut short after the one game when he was recalled by Nottinghamshire.
Rapids skipper Daryl Mitchell said: "Hales is a great talent and very difficult to bowl at in T20 cricket.
"That is especially the case in the powerplay overs when you've only got the two fielders out.
"But we will have to come up with some plans and he will be a priority of ours."
Mitchell believes Worcestershire can bounce back from losing their opening two games against Durham and Lancashire.
He said: "Notts is probably the most difficult game in the group on paper. At Trent Bridge, they don't lose many games but we won there in the 40 over league last season so it is something we can take confidence from.
"We weren't a million miles away in the first two T20 games. It was really disappointing the way we fielded at Old Trafford but other than that we batted exceptionally well.
"Hopefully we can take the positives from that, get some runs on the board or chase down whatever score is set, and get that first win.
"If we can get that first win, then T20 is a competition you can get onto a good run in. All is not lost with the two defeats.
"We probably need to win eight matches to get out of the group and we will just now have to win eight out of 12 instead of eight out of 14."
Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes has named a 15 man squad with Moeen back available after missing the LV = County Championship win over Essex through international commitments.
