COUNTY BATSMAN WESTBURY SHINES AGAIN IN T20 FOR GRAFTON

The runs keep flowing for Ollie Westbury whose fine form for Grafton United continued in the Auckland Cricket Premier Men’s T20 competition.

The Worcestershire batsman lifted his run tally in the short format of the game to 195 in three knocks when making 78 against Eden Roskill CC

In total he has amassed 471 runs in eight innings across all formats at an impressive average of 58.87.

Westbury struck six sixes and three fours in his 53 ball knock.

But his efforts proved in vain as Grafton went down by 22 runs after a brave attempt to overhaul a 200 target.

Westbury shared in partnerships of 72 in 8.2 overs with fellow over Jack Parsons (34) and 54 for the fifth wicket with Mike Ruffell (18).

He was eventually sixth out with the total on 155 in the 18th over, bowled by JK Kumar, as Grafton closed their innings on 177-6.

Eden Roskill had scored consistently down the order to total 199-8 in their 20 overs.
