ben cox and ben twohig will be striving to push southern districts into the south australia cricket association premier cricket first grade play-off spots before they return to New Road.

the worcestershire ccc duo return to two-day action for the remaining four matches of the group programme with their side currently occupying sixth spot in the 13 team table.

southern districts have won four, lost three and drawn one of their opening eight matches in accumulating 85 points.

they are currently 35 points behind kensington who are in the fourth and final qualifying spot for the knockout stages but do have a match in hand.

county wicket-keeper batsman cox has scored 84 runs in four first grade innings to date at an average of 28.00.

spinner twohig has shown his ability with the bat in making 110 runs in three knocks at 36.67.

he has also picked up five wickets at an average of 27.00 and has figures of 32.3-4-135-5.

southern districts final four games are against east torrens (january 25-february 1), sturt (february 8-15), port adelaide (february 22-29) and woodville (march 7-14).

but cox and twohig will return home before the conclusion of the programme to join preparations at New Road ahead of the pre-season tour to abu dhabi.
