Worcestershire CCC 2018 overseas player Travis Head will be looking to continue his fine ODI form for Australia against England when the two countries meet in this evening’s T20I at Edgbaston.
The left hander scored three successive half centuries and was one of the few plus points with the bat for Australia as they were whitewashed 5-0.
Head ended the series with scores of 51 at Trent Bridge, 63 at Chester-le-Street and 56 at Old Trafford.
He finished as Australia’s second highest scorer behind Shaun Marsh with 194 runs at an average of 38.30.
Head will be part of the Aussie squad visiting Zimbabwe for a mini T20 series but will return to Blackfinch New Road next month for the Vitality Blast.
The 24-year-old has so far played in the opening five Specsavers County Championship and first four Royal London One-Day Cup matches.
Head’s County colleague, Moeen Ali, finished top of England’s bowling averages for the One-Day Series – and was also their most economical bowler.
He ended with 12 wickets from the five games at an average of 17.25 and conceded only 5.09 runs per over.
The 31-year-old returned his best ever List A figures for his country in the final ODI at Old Trafford which England won by one wicket.
Moeen finished with 4-46 and his overall figures for the series were: 40.4-1-207-12.
Batting-wise, Moeen scored 52 runs batting down the order at an average of 13.00 with a strike rate of 82.53.
