County Quintet Return To Action Down Under After Festive Break

A quintet of Worcestershire CCC players will return to action in Australia this weekend after the festive break.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore, Tom Fell, George Rhodes, Alex Hepburn and Ollie Westbury will be back performing for their respective clubs.

Kohler-Cadmore will look to maintain his fine form for Penrith Panthers who entertain Western Suburbs in a Sydney Grade Cricket first grade 50 over match at the Howell Oval.

The opening batsman has hit two centuries and helped Penrith into fourth spot in the table – with the top six qualifying for the knockout stages.

Fell will play only his second innings since the end of last season at New Road after flying out in early December to join up with Mount Lawley in the Western Australia Cricket Association (WACA) first grade.

They will start a two-day match this weekend away to Fremantle and are currently lying in 12th spot out of 16 teams on 22 points – 11 adrift of the top six who go through to the finals.

George Rhodes, who has been in good form with bat and ball, will look to carry on where he left off when North Canberra Gungahlin entertain ANU in the ACT Premier Cricket Douglas Cup.

The match is a two day affair over Saturday and Sunday this weekend.

Rhodes is curretly the leading wicket-taker and third highest run-scorer with the Northies who are occupying sixth spot in the eight team table with one win and one defeat.

Alex Hepburn's club, Willetton Dragons, are at home to Wanneroo District in the WACA first grade in a 50 over contest.

The Dragons are lying eighth in the 16 team table with two wins and two losses to their name.

Academy opener Ollie Westbury's side, Hay Park, will look to maintain their 100 per cent record in the Bunbury and District Association T20 competition.

Westbury has contributed 129 runs and four wickets in three T20 wins over Leschenault, Eaton and Collie.

This weekend Hay Park have two home T20 matches against Colts CC and Harvey-Benger CC.
