Cricket Society Embarking On Sussex-Hants Three-Day Trip

Cricket Society Embarking On Sussex-Hants Three-Day Trip

Worcestershire Cricket Society's three-day trip to Sussex and Hampshire will get underway this weekend.

Organiser Mike Hitchings reports that 46 people will be making the trip to the South Coast – incorporating a two night stay at the four star Mercure Wessex Winchester Hotel.

The 53 seater coach will leave from the Premier Inn, New Road at 9.15am (meet 9am) on Sunday April 2 and arrive back at approximately 8pm on Tuesday April 4.

The trip will include guided tours of The 1st Central County Ground, Hove and the Ageas Bowl – followed by tea and coffee – plus visits to Portsmouth and the New Forest.

Last year the Cricket Society ran a two-day trip to Manchester which incorporated a visit to Lancashire's Emirates Old Trafford ground and an optional trip to Manchester United's Old Trafford stadium.

The County have given permission for those making the trip to leave their cars at New Road but they MUST be parked in the area between the Premier Inn and the practice nets.
