Skipper Josh Dell led from the front as Worcestershire CCC Academy made it two wins in 24 hours in the Shrewsbury School pre-season tournament when they defeated the hosts by 16 runs.
Dell top-scored with 75 as the Academy totalled 222-8 in their 50 overs after electing to bat.
Then Mahaaz Ahmed returned the excellent figures of 3-24 from his 10 overs as Shrewsbury closed on 206-9.
It followed up yesterday's success against Millfield School and now the Academy will look to complete a trio of victories when they face Worksop College tomorrow.
Dell hit 14 boundaries in his 69 ball knock and added 104 in 17 overs for the second wicket with opener Will Wade (30).
He was finally third out at 136 in the 28th over before an unbeaten 35 off 54 deliveries with four fours from Dan Holland lifted the Academy to their final total.
Shrewsbury reached 100-3 in reply but Ahmed proved effectively in working his way through the middle order.
Five other bowlers picked up one wicket apiece to help the Academy over the finishing line as 23 runs from the final over proved too great a task.
