DELL EN ROUTE FOR NEW ROAD AFTER WINTER DOWN UNDER

Josh Dell is en route to New Road after a four-and-a-half month stint with Mosman Cricket Club in New South Wales.

The Worcestershire CCC batsman linked up with Mosman in mid October a couple of weeks after the conclusion of the 2019 domestic season.

Dell, who featured in six County Championship matches last summer, played a total of 18 innings in all formats for Mosman and scored 461 runs at an average of 28.81.

He competed in the New South Wales Premier Cricket first and second grades plus the T20 competition.

The 22-year-old hit three half centuries against UTS North Sydney (55 and 89) and Parramatta (98) – in the second grade.

Dell scored 61 on his Championship debut for Worcestershire against Durham at New Road.

In addition to his half a dozen Championship appearances, he also played in the prestigious tour match versus Australia.

Dell is joining Ben Twohig and Ben Cox (Southern Districts) in flying back from Australia and joining the County’s pre-season preparations.
