Worcestershire Development Of Excellence X1 went down by 75 runs to Warwickshire Under-14s in a 50 over match at RGS Worcester.
Warwickshire opted to bat and totalled 214-6 in their 50 overs with new ball bowler Aun Shah picking up two wickets including top scorer M. Talukder for 48.
Josh Baker, Zak Abbas and Alex Jordan were the other wicket-takers for the home side – in addition to one run out.
Baker and Jordan bowled particularly frugal spells, conceding just 20 and 31 runs respectively in their 10 overs.
Worcestershire lost their first four wickets for 35 runs before Joe Miszkowski (49) and Josh Dickenson (22) came together.
They added 80 for the fifth wicket to lift the total to 115-4.
But once the pair had been parted, the last five wickets went down for 25 runs as they were bowled out in 43.1 overs.
