Dolly And Joe Amongst Leading Division Two Contributors With Bat And Ball

Brett D'Oliveira and Joe Leach are in the top three of the leading run-scorer and wicket-takers respectively in Division Two of the Specsavers County Championship after their fine start to the season.

D'Oliveira's conversion into an opener has yielded 540 Championship runs at an average of 90.00 ahead of tomorrow's home clash with Gloucestershire.

Only Derbyshire's Chesney Hughes (570) and Sussex's Ed Joyce (551) have scored more runs than the County all-rounder.

Leach has made a similar impact with the ball and has taken 23 Championship wickets at a cost of 24 runs apiece.

His tally includes career-best match figures of 9-109 in the win over Leicestershire this week.

Not far behind in sixth spot with 19 victims is Leach's New Road colleague Matt Henry who has also made several useful contributions with the bat.

Graham Napier (Essex) leads the way with 31 wickets in his final season before retiring from cricket with his team-mate Jamie Porter three behind.
