Ex Worcs Quartet Are Named In Surrey Squad

Surrey have included four ex Worcestershire players in their squad for the LV = County Championship match at New Road starting tomorrow (10.30am start).

Spinner Gareth Batty, wicket-keeper-batsman Steven Davies, former captain Vikram Solanki and ex England Under-19 all-rounder Aneesh Kapil have been named in the 13 strong party.

Batty and Davies left New Road at the end of the 2009 campaign, Solanki at the conclusion of the 2012 season and Kapil 12 months ago.

Pacemen Jade Dernbach and Matthew Dunn return to the Championship squad after playing in the recent three day game against New Zealand A.

Chris Tremlett is unavailable due to a shoulder injury and Dominic Sibley has not been considered because of a thumb injury.

Surrey go into the game having drawn their last Championship match against Leicestershire at Grace Road.
