Worcestershire batsman Tom Fell needs 87 more runs from the final LV = County Championship match of 2015 to reach 1,000 in a season for the first time.
Fell will go into Tuesday's home clash with Middlesex at New Road on 913 runs from 25 innings at an average of 36.52.
He has scored two centuries and four fifties this summer and successfully adapted to Division One cricket.
Skipper Daryl Mitchell (768) and keeper Ben Cox (725) have both topped the 700 run mark but Ross Whiteley heads the averages with 427 at 38.81.
Joe Leach is the most successful bowler with 56 wickets closely followed by Jack Shantry on 52 and Charlie Morris (44).
It is testament to the work of fitness and conditioning coach Ross Davies and first team physio Ben Davies that none of this trio have missed any games through injury.
