Fell Helps Mount Lawley To Claim First Innings Points In Final Appearance

Tom Fell ended his current spell in Australia on a positive note as Mount Lawley secured a winning draw in the Western Australia Cricket Association first grade match with visiting Midland-Guildford.

The Worcestershire batsman had scored a century on day one last weekend when Mount Lawley amassed a formidable 413-7.

Fell held onto one catch as Midland-Guildford were dismissed for 154 in 45.3 overs – a first innings deficit of 259.

Opening bowler P. Davis (4-30) was Mount Lawley's most successful bowler.

The home side then opted to bat again and they closed the game on 121-6 from 21.5 overs with Fell dismissed for 11 from 24 balls batting at number four.

The 10 points secured by Mount Lawley for first innings advantage propelled them up two places to 12th in the 16 team table – only four behind their eighth placed opponents.

Fell will now fly home during the latter part of the coming week and then join the Worcestershire squad for the pre-season tour of Abu Dhabi.
