Ferguson Facing Similar Schedule Down Under To Vitality Blast

callum ferguson will replicate the kind of schedule experienced by worcestershire rapids on their way to vitality blast glory if he is to achieve big bash success with the sydney thunder.

worcestershire’s 2018-2019 signing could feature in 14 group games, a semi-final and then the grand final during the next two months should the thunder go all the way.

it is a similar programme to the vitality blast which involves 14 group games, a quarter-final and then finals day – the schedule which the rapids conquered to lift the 2018 trophy.

the action will start for 34-year-old ferguson, one of the stars of the rapids blast triumph, in eight days time on december 21 at home to the melbourne stars.

then three days later on christmas eve the thunder have a derby to look forward to when they entertain the sydney sixers.

after the festive break, successive away matches follow against adelaide strikers on new year’s eve and, with the advent of 2019, against perth scorchers on january 2.

the final group game is at home to hobart hurricanes on february 9 followed by semi-finals on february 14-15 and the final on february 17.

ferguson will return to New Road on may 1 for the 2019 campaign.
