Fifty-Fifty Competition Membership Tops 400 Mark

Worcestershire Supporters' Association's annual Fifty-Fifty competition is continuing to flourish.

It has already attracted 400 members for the 2017 competition after last summer's record number of 813.

Committee member Dave Kennedy has taken on the role of competition organiser after the death of former Association chairman Ken Mills OBE and has ensured it continues to run smoothly.

Once again there will be four draws staged during 2017 – on June 25, July 30, August 20 and September 17 – and the entrance fee is £20.

There will be 12 cash prizes for each draw range from £50 to £500.

Anyone wanting to enter should make cheques payable to WCCSA c-o chairman Andrew Jenkins, County Ground, New Road, Worcester, WR2 4QQ.

Meanwhile the memorial fund launched by the Supporters' Association in honour of Ken Mills continues to grow.

Chairman Andrew Jenkins reports that more than £19,000 has so far been donated to the fund with all monies raised to be used for a future project for the benefit of all members at New Road.

Ken spent 41 years as Association chairman and helped to raise hundreds of thousands of pounds which were donated to the cricket club on a host of projects.

The Supporters' Association will be staging their summer lunches in the Chestnut Marquee on Saturday, June 10 and Sunday, August 6 with prices to be announced shortly.
