Charlie Morris praised his Worcestershire team-mates for their part in enabling him to reach the 50 wicket mark in first class cricket this season against Derbyshire at Derby.
Paceman Morris has now picked up 46 wickets in the LV County Championship plus four for Oxford University against Nottinghamshire in a game where he dismissed England one-day player Samit Patel twice.
He reached the half century milestone by bowling Wayne Wright after the on loan Lancashire player had twice been dropped off his bowling.
Morris said: "I'm delighted. I never thought this would be the case at the start of the season.
"But although it's 50 wickets for myself, it goes down to the team. I bowl the ball but the catches need to be taken and you have to be backed up by everyone.
"It's a credit to the guys, the slip fielders and all the 10 blokes on the field who have backed me up.
"Hopefully Jack (Shantry) will get there as well because he deserves to."
Morris added: "The lads knew it was my 50th wicket and they were very supportive and happy for me.
"It was really nice. It was a special moment and one I won't forget forever."
Morris hailed the efforts of Shantry who bowled a marathon 32 overs on the opening day and returned 2-66.
He said: "From Jack, it was an unbelievable effort by him. He bowled fantastically after lunch especially – and for the rest of the first day.
"To bowl the length of spell he did and with so much consistency, it was one of the best spells I've seen all year if I'm honest.
"He toiled away and could have picked up a five-for. He was brilliant and did a fantastic job for the team."
