FINCH AND YOUNG LIONS LOOK TO EXTRACT QUICKFIRE REVENGE IN BANGLADESH

Adam Finch and England Young Lions will be looking to quickly bounce back in the second ODI against Bangladesh Under-19s tomorrow.

The Young Lions went down in the first match of the series by five wickets in the Sheikh Kamal International Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.

Worcestershire paceman Finch took the new ball as the Lions tried to defend a total of 209-5 in their 50 overs.

The Academy product claimed the scalp of Bangladesh’s top scorer, Mohammad Parvez Hossain, who made a match winning 80 off 121 balls.

Finch, who was the Young Lions most economical bowler in the T20I between the two countries at the weekend, finished with figures of 10-1-49-1.

He did not have the opportunity to bat in the Young Lions innings of 209-7 in which Lewis Goldsworthy top-scored with 61 off 99 balls.

The Young Lions were 75-5 at one stage but Goldsworthy and Luke Holman (35 not out) added 70 for the seventh wicket.

Tomorrow’s second ODI will take place at the same venue.
