Former Worcestershire paceman John Inchmore will be the guest speaker of the Worcestershire Cricket Society in the Graeme Hick Pavilion tomorrow evening (Tuesday), starting at 7.30pm.
Inchmore played for the County between 1973-86 and ended his career with 510 first class wickets, including a best tally of 63 in 1975, and 279 List A victims.
He was a member of the 1974 Championship winning side, finishing with 39 wickets at 22 runs apiece.
Inchmore scored his only first class century in 1975 against Essex after an injury to Glenn Turner meant he came into bat as nightwatchman.
It was Turner who provided Inchmore with his maiden first class victim for Worcestershire in 1973 when he was playing for New Zealand in the tour match at New Road – although he did make 143 before being dismissed.
Former long-serving Worcestershire CCC secretary-chief executive, the Reverend Mike Vockins, will be conducting the interview with 66-year-old Inchmore.
Non Cricket Society members are welcome to attend for a charge of £3.
