Worcestershire Cricket Society will launch their winter programme this evening (Tuesday) with former Gloucestersire player Mark Hardinges the guest speaker (7.30pm start).
Hardinges was a member of the Gloucestershire side along with the likes of Jack Russell, Ian Harvey and Mark Alleyne who were the undisputed kings of one-day cricket in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
He is now master in charge of cricket at Malvern College and played a key role in the development of current County players such as Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Ben Twohig.
The meeting will be held on this occasion in the 1865 Lounge as opposed to the normal venue, the Graeme Hick Pavilion, which is unavailable.
Membership fees are unaltered for 2015-2016 – £15 or £20 for a double membership and non members can are welcome to attend at a charge of £3 per evening.
The winter series will continue with former Worcestershire paceman John Inchmore recalling his time at New Road on November 10.
On December 8, England's Ashes hero of 1975, David Steele, will be the speaker with current Worcestershire left armer Jack Shantry giving his thoughts on January 12.
On February 9 cricket writer, historian and statistician Peter Wynne-Thomas will entertain the Society.
The programme will conclude on March 8 with Worcestershire Heritage Group Chairman and current Worcestershire Board member Tim Jones reflecting on his new book about the life and career of Don Kenyon.
