Former Worcs Player Pinner Returns With The Foxes For T20 Blast

Former Worcestershire player Neil Pinner is set to be part of the Leicestershire Foxes squad who will take on the Rapids in the NatWest T20 Blast at New Road this evening.

Pinner, a pupil at Worcester Royal Grammar School, made his Worcestershire debut in 2011 and played a total of 30 first class and List A matches for the county before being released at the end of the 2013 season.

He played for Leicestershire Seconds last season and, despite suffering a broken arm, earned a one year contract for the 2015 campaign.

After scoring 165 against Cambridge MCCU, Pinner has been a regular in the Leicestershire side in the LV = County Championship with a top score to date of 68 against Kent.

He made his debut in T20 cricket for Leicestershire Foxes in last night's win over Durham Jets at Grace Road and even took the new ball.

Leicestershire won by eight wickets – their second win in three games in the competition – and the three times winners are currently lying in second spot in the North Group.

Former Glamorgan batsman, Australian Mark Cosgrove, has taken over as captain of Leicestershire this season.
