Former X Factor Winner Joins Bill For Olly Murs New Road Concert

Former X Factor winner Louisa Johnson will be the special guest on Olly Murs' 2017 summer tour – including the June 25 date at New Road.

It is an additional musical treat for fans to look forward at a show for which thousands of tickets have already been snapped up via the Worcestershire CCC website.

Essex born Johnson, who was mentored by Rita Ora, was the youngest winner of the X Factor when she triumphed in 2015 at the age of 17 in the 12th series.

The previous youngest winner was Joe McElderry, who was 18 years old in 2009.

Johnson's debut single, a cover version of Bob Dylan's 'Forever Young' – the song which clinched her X Factor success – was released the day after her triumph and reached number nine in the charts.

In May 2016, she released a song with Clean Bandit called "Tears" which climbed four places higher.

Then 'So Good' reached number 13 in November and Johnson's first album is scheduled to be released this year after being put back from November.

Olly Murs was runners-up in the sixth series of the X Factor in 2009 but has since enjoyed global success – including his latest album '24 Hours'.
