Gareth Makes Quickfire Impact With Bat And Ball After Return From Injury

Gareth Andrew is leading the way for Worcestershire as their joint highest run scorer and leading wicket-taker after the opening two matches in Division One of the LV County Championship.

The 31-year-old all-rounder has made an instant impact after his return to the side following his recovery from a lumbar pedicle fracture in his back.

Andrew has scored 152 runs – the same as county colleague Tom Fell – with the aid of half centuries against Yorkshire and Sussex.

He has also weighed in with eight wckets including a five wicket haul against the Tykes.

Andrew was runner-up in the PCA Most Valuable Player charts to Marcus Trescothick when Worcestershire maintained their Division One status in 2011 after being promoted.
