HALF CENTURY FOR TWOHIG DOWN UNDER IN T20 MATCH

HALF CENTURY FOR TWOHIG DOWN UNDER IN T20 MATCH

Ben Twohig hit a half century but ended on the losing side in a T20 match Down Under.

The Worcestershire spinner was part of the Unley CC side taking on Reynella CC in a Adelaide Turf Association Division One encounter.

Twohig went to the wicket at number five after the loss of three quick wickets in pursuit of a 141 target.

He raced to 53 but none of the players who followed him in the order reached double figures.

Twohig was eventually lbw as Unley fell just short of their target and were dismissed for 129 with still 11 deliveries remaining of their innings.

Earlier Twohig had sent down four overs for 32 runs and one wicket as Reynella scored 140-3 in their 20 overs.

It was more good match practice for Twohig on his return after his long lay-off with an anterior cruciate ligament tear.

This weekend he will be back in action for Southern Districts on day two of the South Australia Cricket Association Premier Cricket first grade match with Adelaide.
