Alex Hinkley and Josh Baker finished as Worcestershire Academy-Under-17s leading run-scorer and wicket-taker respectively for the 2019 campaign.

Hinkley scored 642 runs at an average of 37.76 from his 18 visits to the middle this summer.

His highest score of exactly 100 came for the Under-17s in the drawn Specsavers County Championship match with Somerset Under-17s at Stourport.

Hinkley finished just ahead of Dan Holland, who amassed 603 runs at 33.50, and Pete Clarke who totalled 584 runs at 32.44.

Baker picked up 40 wickets at a cost of just 16.28 runs apiece and a best performance of 6-21 from 13 overs, five of which were maidens.

It was achieved in the Championship win over Gloucestershire at Bishopston.

Next in line with 19 wickets was Ed Bragg.
