Worcestershire CCC keeper Ben Cox has made an excellent all-round contribution for the Rapids in the Royal London One-Day Cup.
The 26-year-old has picked up the most dismissals in the 2018 competition in the country heading into the final round of group matches.
Cox has collected 16 catches in his seven games and is ahead of Derbyshire’s Daryn Smit (14 in seven) and Middlesex’s John Simpson (13 in seven).
In addition he has made vital runs on several occasions, including 50 against Yorkshire Vikings, 56 versus Derbyshire Falcons and a rapid 39 on Sunday in the win over Northamptonshire Steelbacks.
All-rounder Ed Barnard is the third highest wicket-taker in the One-Day Cup with 14 wickets at 24.28 and an average of a wicket every 24.4 deliveries.
Only pair of spinners in Lancashire’s Matt Parkinson (18) and Middlesex’s Ravi Patel (15) have more victims.
Callum Ferguson has played only three innings to date for the Rapids to date but his dramatic impact means he is already the 16th highest scorer in the country with 357 runs.
He heads the national averages with 178.50 runs per innings.
