Jack Haynes Hits Three Hundreds In Three Days For Malvern College

Worcestershire Academy player Jack Haynes scored THREE hundreds in THREE days for Malvern College.

Haynes hit a century on Saturday against visiting St. Andrew's College from South Africa – a college with a serious cricket pedigree.

Then on Sunday-Monday he scored a hundred in both innings of a two-day game away to Wellington School.

Haynes came within 16 runs on Tuesday of making it four tons in a row when he was dismissed for 84 against visiting Bradfield School.

Academy coach Elliot Wilson believes 16-year-old Haynes would benefit from playing for the Seconds during the next couple of months.

He said: "Everyone has known about Jack for a while and his potential and it's exciting for him.

"Now he has got his exams out of the way and is able to spend a bit more time focusing on his cricket, we've seen the benefits of all his hard work

"It is an opportunity for him I think the next two months to play a decent chunk of second team cricket which should be good for him."

*Worcestershire CCC Development squad's 50 over friendly with Shropshire CB Under-17s at Telford was abandoned as a draw.

Shropshire elected to bat and scored 223-6 in 44 overs before rain intervened and ended proceedings.

Nathan Hines (2-24 off eight overs), Hasnain Nawaz (1-33 off 10), Kris Green (1-27 off five) and Adam Hines (1-47 off eight) were the Worcestershire wicket-takers.
