Worcestershire all-rounder Jack Shantry is part of a small band of cricketers to have taken 75 wickets and scored at least 500 runs in the LV = County Championship since the start of last season.
The Warwickshire duo of Keith Barker and Jeetan Patel and Kent's Darren Stevens are the other players to have achieved that degree of consistency with ball and bat.
Worcestershire bowling coach Matt Mason said: "Jack is in good company. It doesn't surprise me with Jack being the competitor he is.
"He will tell you he is an all-rounder. He is a total match-winner."
Shantry has shown his qualities with ball on a regular basis and last summer registered a personal best haul for a campaign of 56 Championship wickets.
He has continued in a similar vein this season with his four wickets against Middlesex at Uxbridge yesterday taking his 2015 tally to 30 Championship victims.
Last week Shantry reached the 200 first class wickets mark during the home clash with Warwickshire.
But Shantry has also made important contributions with the bat during that period, often chipping in with late order runs at number nine.
His maiden first class century in the promotion-clinching win over Surrey at New Road last September – plus his 10 wickets – has gone down already in county folklore.
