Kidderminster Cricket Club to host Australia ‘A’ fixture at Chester Road

worcestershire county cricket club have switched a second fixture from New Road headquarters to kidderminster cricket club.

the county will now take on australia ‘a’ at chester road on tuesday 25th june in a 50 overs per side encounter.

this prestigious fixture, which is part of a two month tour by australia a, has been moved due to flooding at New Road.

members and supporters will have another opportunity to see australia ‘a’ one-day squad captain travis head in action after he spent last season as worcestershire’s overseas player.

worcestershire ccc ceo, matt rawnsley, said: ‘’flood water has receded moderately over the last few days and we are hopeful, once all the water has left the outfield, that we can start ground preparations to ensure a speedy return to New Road.

‘’we appreciate tickets for this fixture against australia ‘a’ are in high demand so additional seating and facilities will be added to chester road in readiness for this fixture.

this australia ‘a’ fixture is included in all membership categories, so members will not be required to purchase a ticket to gain entry,
