Kohler-Cadmore And Choudhry Back In Contention For Hampshire One-Day Cup Clash

Kohler-Cadmore And Choudhry Back In Contention For Hampshire One-Day Cup Clash

Batsman Tom Kohler-Cadmore and spinner Shaaiq Choudhry are available after injury and illness respectively and included in the Worcestershire squad for tomorrow's Royal London One-Day Cup clash with Hampshire at the Ageas Bowl.

Kohler-Cadmore suffered a finger injury attempting a catch during the One-Day encounter with Yorkshire at Headingley on Thursday and missed yesterday's thrilling win over Lancashire at New Road.

Choudhry was also absent with a 24 hour bug from the Lancashire game as the county operated with an all-seam attack.

Rhodes said: "Tom just got a bit of bleeding, sore, bruised finger. He had an x-ray and there is no break.

"He felt that he couldn't hit the ball 100% and whilst you have got other batters who are 100% it was probably the right thing to do (not play). He will come into the squad for Hampshire.

"Shaaiq has been ill. He turned up (for the Lancashire game). He'd been up since two o'clock and has got a 24 hour bug. He is back in the squad for tomorrow and hopefully he will be okay.

"We might not have played him yesterday because there is quite a bit of grass on that wicket and we are looking at a few options to try and take wickets.

"But we will be going down to Hampshire with him and there is a good chance he will play down there. The wicket will be dry and turn a bit."

Opener Richard Oliver is left out of the squad after struggling to make sizeable runs to date in the One-Day Cup.

Rhodes confirmed: "Richard Oliver is going to miss out on that one. He is short of a few runs.

"We will take him back to the second team and get him scoring runs again and push him for a spot back.

"It will mean a change at the top of the order. I'm not going to give away who will play there. It could be Jack Shantry!"
