Kohler-Cadmore Ends Pre-Xmas Programme On Winning Side With Penrith

Tom Kohler-Cadmore ended Penrith's pre-Christmas programme on a winning note as his side overcame visiting Randwick Petersham by two runs in a Sydney Grade Cricket first grade encounter.

The Worcestershire opener did not enjoy the most prolific of days with bat and ball but has played a major role during the first half of the campaign, scoring two centuries.

Penrith opted to bat and Kohler-Cadmore made 10 off 20 balls with one boundary before he was first out with 24 on the board.

Penrith were struggling at 61-4 but an unbeaten 93 off 109 balls from keeper TP Cummins enabled them to reach 227-9 in their 50 overs.

He was given valuable support by M McNamara (17 not out) during an unbroken last wicket stand of 58 after joining forces at 169-9.

Kohler-Cadmore bowled nine overs for 62 runs when Randwick launched their reply and they reached 105-1 at one stage.

But an excellent spell from M Halse turned the match in Penrith's over.

He finished with 6-24 from 9.5 overs after the last wicket fell via a run out with just one ball remaining as Randwick were dismissed for 225.

Kohler-Cadmore had held onto a catch to dismiss J Psarakis who had smote 18 off the previous seven balls before he was ninth out.

Alex Hepburn was dismissed for a sixth ball duck batting at number six as Willetton Dragons conceded a first innings deficit of 61 to home side Fremantle on day two of the Western Australia Cricket Association first grade encounter.

Fremantle had been bowled out for 209 on day one but rolled over Willetton for just 148 in 58.2 overs today.
