Kohler-Cadmore Hits Ton After Russell And Hepburn Shine With The Ball

Worcestershire Seconds opener Tom Kohler-Cadmore scored an unbeaten hundred after Chris Russell and Alex Hepburn had did the damage with the ball on the opening day of the Second Eleven Championship match with Yorkshire Seconds at Barnt Green.

Kohler-Cadmore scored exactly 100 not out as Worcestershire reached 187-4 by the close in reply to Yorkshire's 164 all out.

He went to three figures in fortuitous fashion in the final over of the day, being dropped on 98 at mid off from a delivery by Karl Carver and scrambling the two runs required to complete his ton.

It came from 182 balls and contained 13 fours.

Kohler-Cadmore shared in half century partnerships with Brett D'Oliveira and George Rhodes as Worcestershire ended with a lead of 23 with six wickets in hand.

Russell had Yorkshire on the back foot after they had elected to bat by picking up a wicket in each of his opening three overs.

He held onto a return catch from Jonathan Tattersall and then Mosun Hussain and Dan Hodgson were caught at first slip and at the wicket respectively.

Then Australian batsman Aaron Finch was forced to retire on 19 and taken to Redditch hospital for a check-up after bottom edging a pull from Russell into his ribs.

Finch underwent tests and x-rays, will take no further part in the game and returned to Leeds on Monday evening.

Hepburn also got in on the wicket-taking act as Yorkshire were bowled out in 43.2 overs.

Russell finished with 5-52 and Hepburn 4-43.
