Kohler-Cadmore Impresses As Penrith Gain 37 Run Success

Tom Kohler-Cadmore turned in a fine all-round performance as Penrith Panthers overcame visiting Western Suburbs by 37 runs in a Sydney Grade Cricket first grade encounter.

The Worcestershire batsman top-scored with 47 as Penrith totalled 211-9 in their 50 overs after electing to bat.

Kohler-Cadmore hit four fours in his 77 ball knock after opening before he was fourth out with 103 on the board.

Then 42 from M. Hopkins held the rest of the Penrith innings together.

Kent batsman Fabian Cowdrey opened for Western Suburbs and he made 85 and added 68 for the fourth wicket with N Cutler (37) to take the visitors to 137-3.

But then wickets fell regularly and Kohler-Cadmore bowled nine tidy overs and held onto a return chance offered by Cutler.

He finished with 1-32 and also picked up another catch and was responsible for a run-out as Western Suburbs were dismissed for 174 in 46.1 overs.

George Rhodes was also top scorer for North Canberra Gungahlin but it was an opening day to forget for his side in the ACT Premier Cricket first grade encounter with visiting ANU.

Worcestershire all-rounder Rhodes opened the innings and made 20 off 74 balls with one four but no-one else reached double figures as the Northies were bowled out for 59 in 35.1 overs after choosing to bat.

Rhodes collected his 16th wicket of the season and had figures of 10-1-35-1 but ANU were well placed at 171-5 off 60 overs at the close.

The match reaches a conclusion tomorrow (Sunday).
