Leach At Helm For First Time Since Appointed County Skipper

Joe Leach will lead Worcestershire CCC for the first time since being officially appointed captain in tomorrow's 50 over match with the North at the ICC Academy in Dubai.

The all-rounder takes charge in a match being used by the North as a warm-up for their three-match series against the South.

Director Of Cricket Steve Rhodes has named a strong looking line-up although he will be without three members of his squad.

Joe Clarke will be playing against Worcestershire for the North, Tom Kohler-Cadmore is recoverng after shoulder surgery and overseas signing John Hastings will not link up with the County until next week.

Paceman Charlie Morris is included after spending last summer and the winter in Australia – playing for Tuggeranong Valley – honing his remodelled action.

Jack Shantry has recovered from injury which forced him to cut short his spell Down Under with Sutherland before Christmas.

Worcestershire will return to their training base in Abu Dhabi after the game and will next be in action in a two-day fixture versus Warwickshire on March 18-19.
