New vice-captain Joe Leach says having a group of Worcestershire players gaining international recognition is an indication of the significant strides made by the club.
Moeen Ali made the initial breakthrough at international level and has been an England regular in all formats of the game for nearly two years since making his debut in the Caribbean.
Now wicket-keeper-batsman Joe Clarke and all-rounder Ross Whiteley plus Director of Cricket Steve Rhodes are part of the England Lions set-up in Abu Dhabi this winter.
In addition youngsters like Ben Twohig and Josh Tongue, who are just starting their first professional contracts at New Road, have also featured in the England Development Programme.
Worcestershire's Players' Player Of The Year Leach said: "From what I can gather, speaking to people on the circuit, the club is seen in very high regard at the moment and that's probably reflected in the international selections that have been made.
"Moeen has obviously led the way in that respect and he has been fantastic and really, really pleased he has forged a path with the likes of Clarkey and Ross, and Felly (Tom Fell) in and around that set-up.
"Now you know being a Worcestershire player, if you do well, you will get recognised if you are good enough.
"That is something that is very pleasing and shows the strides the club has made really."
