Worcestershire are staging a luncheon to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the county's 1964 County Championship title triumph in the Chestnut Marquee during Saturday's home Royal London One-Day Cup with Lancashire.
The county won the title for the first time by 41 points from Warwickshire after winning 18 of their 28 games – and then retained it the following year and finished runners-up in 1966.
Paceman Jack Flavell was named one of Wisden's Cricketers of the Year after taking 101 wickets including 46 in five matches during August after returning from injury.
For good measure Flavell picked up another 132 wickets in 1965 and 135 in 1966 at the age of 37 and passed the 100 wicket mark eight times.
He finished his career with 1, 529 wickets and his partnership with Len Coldwell was one of, if not the greatest in Worcestershire's history.
Many of the surviving members of that memorable 1964 squad will be attending the luncheon including Tom Graveney, Roy Booth, Norman Gifford, Dick Richardson, Doug Slade, Bob Carter and Ducan Fearnley.
It is also hoped that Ron Headley and Alan Ormrod will be able to attend.
Supporters can also be part of that luncheon by taking advantage of a superb offer.
For just £35 they can obtain ground admission for the Lancashire game, a three course luncheon and also be part of a question and answer session with members of the 1964 team.
It promises to be a day of unforgettable nostalgia and reminisces.
