Members Voted In Favour Of Proposed Changes To Rules And Constitution

Worcestershire CCC members have voted overwhelmingly in favour of accepting the changes to the club’s rules and constitution which were approved by the Worcestershire CCC Board.

Members were able to vote via ballot on whether to accept the revamped rules and constitution which would ensure they meet the guide-lines of the Code Of Conduct on Sports Governance approved last year by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The results of the ballot were announced by Worcestershire CCC chairman Stephen Taylor at yesterday evening’s club AGM held in the Graeme Hick Pavilion.

He said 2,792 ballot papers were circulated to members who qualified to vote 21 days in advance of the AGM.

The vote count was carried out by Bishop Fleming Accountants and 1,100 members voted in favour of the proposed changes.

Fifty seven members voted against the proposed changes with spoilt and late papers totalling 11.

Mr Taylor said: “I therefore would like to declare that the motion to adopt the new club rules are passed.

“The rules will take effect following submission to the FCA immediately.”
