the worcestershire ccc 2019 memorabilia day – scheduled to take place on sunday july 7 at New Road – has been cancelled.
the current flooding at the county’s headquarters has led to the event being called off as a precautionary measure by memorabilia day organiser richard brown.
he said: “probably nobody can say with any certainty what the situation will be by july 7 when our market was due to take place. therefore i have decided it is best to cancel.”
the worcestershire supporters’ association summer luncheon scheduled for the chestnut marquee on the same day has been postponed.
it is hoped to re-arrange this popular function for later in the season but anyone requiring a refund should contact richard stone on 07974 020834.
association chairman andrew jenkins said: “we hope to announce a new date for the lunch as soon as possible.”
