Worcestershire CCC are staging two memorable functions after the end of the 2015 season to help bring the Club's 150th Anniversary Year to a fitting climax.
A 150th Anniversary Gala Dinner is being combined with the Player Awards Evening and will be held in a giant Marquee on the New Road outfield on Friday, October 2 costing just £65 per person or £600 for a table of 10.
It will incorporate Worcestershire past and present with many of the figures who have been key figures in the club's history invited to attend plus the 2015 awards which will highlight the many excellent performances from the players during the current campaign.
But in addition there will be a drinks reception, a three course meal,live entertainment and live music to help make this an evening to remember and at very affordable prices.
Then the County's Anniversary Year will be brought to a thrilling conclusion with the New Year's Eve Gatsby Ball in the Graeme Hick Pavilion with tickets priced £85 each.
In keeping with the Great Gatsby Theme, music will be provided by the Jazz Spivs and there will be a champagne reception, canopes, a four course dinner and dancing before fireworks at midnight to celebrate the arrival of 2016.
Worcestershire Commercial Director Jon Graham said: "Something the members have been relatively vocal about, is to try and involve them with the end of season awards night.
"What we are trying to do is combine the end of season awards with a real gala dinner and a celebration of the 150th Anniversary Year.
"We want it to be a retrospective look on this season via the players awards but also a retrospective look by involving players who have been a massive part of the club because there stories are as valid as the people who are playing today. They help build the club.
"We will be going back to the side from 1964 and inviting some of those guys and all the players who have contributed and helped the club win things so we hope we can have quite a smattering of famous names from the club's history which I feel will be really appealing to members.
"But it won't just be that. There will be live entertainment via an after dinner speaker, also live music, so it is a celebration of 150 years and a celebration of this season and the players who have gone above and beyond this year and everyone should be proud of what the team have done. It will be a night to remember."
As regards the New Year's Eve Gatsby Ball, Graham said: "We've tried to theme it. We haven't gone back 150 years because trying to find the appropriate attire for that is going to be difficult. We've gone with a Great Gatsby theme and want to make it fun so we've got with a band called the Jazz Spivs.
"We are going to town with how we are going to dress the room and the approach we are going to take and it's going to be something completely different to what we've ever done before. Most importantly, it is the final event of 2015 which has been the 150th Anniversary Year and we want to sign off with style.
"We would like people to be dressed in the Great Gatsby attire but that is not compulsory. Spaces are going to be fairly limited as it is in the Graeme Hick Pavilion and for a function like that we are looking at around 150 people.
"People are always looking for something different at New Year and this is completely different. The food will be amazing, there will be drinks on arrival, live music, it will be everything you expect for a New Year's Eve bash.
"We want to make it a really enjoyable atmosphere, something that people remember, and I'm sure we will want to build on the success and make this an annual event."
