MILTON AND DELL LEAD WAY FOR SECONDS IN RED BALL CRICKET

Alex Milton and Josh Dell finished as Worcestershire Seconds leading run-scorers in red ball cricket for the 2019 campaign.

The pair both topped 500 runs in matches consisting of Second Eleven Championship and three-four day friendly encounters.

Milton ended with 538 runs at an average of 35.87 from 19 innings and Dell 519 runs from 17 knocks at 34.60.

The pair also enjoyed spells of first team cricket at various stages of the summer.

Opener Ollie Westbury – 452 at 22.60 – was the other main run-scorer.

Jack Haynes, who also broke into the senior side at the end of the season, topped the averages with 277 runs at 46.17.

On the bowling front, paceman Adam Finch picked up the most wickets with 16 at 23.06 and he also tasted first team action during 2019 for the first time.
