Daryl Mitchell and Ed Barnard are Worcestershire’s leading run-scorer and wicket-taker respectively heading into the final two Royal London One-Day Cup group matches – starting with tomorrow’s home clash with Northamptonshire Steelbacks (11am start).
Mitchell’s current rich vein of form, which has brought him a century and two fifties in his last three knocks, has lifted his run aggregate to 238 at an average of 47.60.
The 34-year-old has also chipped in with four wickets.
Seven Rapids batsman are averaging 40 or above predominantly as a result of the high-scoring wins over Derbyshire Falcons, Yorkshire Vikings and Leicestershire Foxes.
On the bowling front, Barnard has taken 12 wickets from the opening six matches and also weighed in with useful lower runs against Lancashire and Notts Outlaws.
Moeen Ali is top of the bowling averages after his career best 4-33 in List A cricket against Notts Outlaws.
The England all-rounder also has the Rapids best economy rate with the ball, conceding just 4.88 runs per over.
