Worcestershire gained back to back victories over Glamorgan in the Second Eleven Twenty20 competition at Kidderminster's Chester Road ground.

The county won the first encounter by four wickets and followed that up with a 22 run win in the second contest.

Worcestershire took the opportunity to field several senior players in one or the other of the matches as part of their preparations for the NatWest T20 Blast which gets underway next Friday away to Durham Jets.

Skipper Daryl Mitchell featured in the first game and made the telling contribution with the bat as Worcestershire chased a 134 target after putting Glamorgan in.

The 30-year-old, fresh from scoring two 100s against Glamorgan in the LV = County Championship, struck 68 off 46 balls with nine fours as Worcestershire won with five balls to spare.

But the man of the match was Matt Pardoe whose slow bowling returned figures of 2-19 from three overs and he then contributed 29 off 24 balls.
