Moeen Amongst The Wickets For England In Drawn Warm-Up Clash

England all-rounder Moeen Ali warned up for the forthcoming Test series against Pakistan with a three wicket haul on day two of the drawn match with Pakistan 'A' at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.

The Worcestershire player finished with the impressive figures of 3-41 from 22 overs as Pakistan 'A' closed on 216-5 in reply to England's 286-5 declared.

Moeen, who had scored 22 yesterday when opening the innings, struck twice during his morning spell of 7-2-9-2.

The 28-year-old accounted for opener Khurram Manzoor (16) who edged through to Jimmy Anderson at slip.

Ali Asad (7) was then trapped lbw on the back foot after being beaten by a quicker delivery from the spinner.

Moeen was struck for two sixes by Iftikhar Ahmen who finished unbeaten on 92.

But he enjoyed a third success when Faward Alam (55) was caught at mid on to break a stand of 112 with Ahmed.

Moeen had failed to hold onto a caught and bowled chance offered by Alam on 50 but it did not prove costly.
