Moeen Ali ended as England's second highest run-scorer during the Test series in India which ended yesterday.
The Worcestershire all-rounder, who is flying home today with his team-mates, scored 381 runs at an average of 42.33 from the five Tests.
Only Joe Root – with 491 at an average of 49.10 – topped Moeen's contribution in the series which India won 4-0.
Moeen began the winter in a new position of number five for the two Tests in Bangladesh and retained that for the opening two Tests in India.
But he moved up to number four after Ben Duckett was left out of the side.
Moeen hit two centuries during the series – 117 in Rajkot and 146 in Chennai in addition to a half century in Mumbai.
The 29-year-old also finished as England's second highest wicket-taker with 10 although he would have preferred a lower average than 64.90.
Fellow spinner Adil Rashid picked up 23 wickets at 37.43.
Moeen will now have to wait six months for his next slice of Test action with two personal milestones on the horizon.
He needs 73 runs to complete 2,000 in Test cricket, having scored 1,927 at 35.03 with five centuries and nine fifties.
And two more wickets will give Moeen 100 Test victims, having taken 98 at 42.22.
