Moeen Made Available To Face Tykes In Final Championship Encounter

moeen ali has been made available by the ecb to play in worcestershire’s final specsavers county championship match of the season against yorkshire at New Road from september 24.

worcestershire will be hoping the all-rounder can repeat the form shown in his last two championship matches.

they have produced a haul of 16 wickets and 219 against yorkshire at scarborough.

those performances came ahead of his recall to the england test side for the final two matches of the series against india when he produced a man of the match performance at the ageas bowl.

the all-rounder will not be allowed to play in next week’s clash with essex at chelmsford after leading the rapids on vitality blast finals day at edgbaston on saturday.

alastair cook is not available to face the county in the encounter at chelmsford.

joe root and jonny bairstow are also being rested from the remainder of yorkshire’s games this summer so will not face worcestershire.

jos buttler will go head to head with moeen on blast finals day after also being allowed to play for lancashire lightning.

the rapids and the lightning meet in the first semi-final at 11.am on saturday.
