Moeen Returns To Lead County In Final Game Of The Campaign

moeen ali returns to captain worcestershire in their final specsavers county championship match of the campaign against yorkshire at New Road.

the england all-rounder scored a double century and picked up eight wickets in the win at scarborough last month.

moeen takes over as skipper from daryl mitchell who temporarily returned to his former role for the games against surrey and essex.

the 31-year-old will fly out on sunday to sri lanka with his england team-mates for the odi and test series in october and november.

fellow all-rounder wayne parnell will make his first home appearance since signing a three year contract with worcestershire as a kolpak player for the 2019, 2020 and 2021 seasons.

parnell has already shown his capabilities in white and red ball cricket.

joe clarke will make his final appearance for the club before making the switch to nottinghamshire on a four year contract.
