Moeen Suffers Second Successive Run-Out With England In Comeback Appearance

Moeen Suffers Second Successive Run-Out With England In Comeback Appearance

Moeen Ali was run out for the second successive innings with England on the third day of the Second Test with the West Indies in Grenada.

The Worcestershire all-rounder had been dismissed in that manner after a mix-up with Ian Bell during England's pivotal World Cup clash with Bangladesh on March 9 after making 19.

That was Moeen's last international appearance for six weeks after a side strain suffered whilst bowling in that game ruled him out of the drawn first Test last week.

Sadly the 27-year-old suffered the same fate when batting in his accustomed England Test position of number six after flying out to the Windies at the weekend after proving his fitness with Worcestershire.

Moeen had already survived one run out chance after Joe Root called him for a risky single after playing the ball on the off side.

But his luck ran out from the fourth ball he faced after turning spinner Marlon Samuels on the leg side.

Moeen set off for a risky looking single to mid wicket and could not recover his ground in time before the ball was returned to the keeper.

It meant Moeen was dismissed for a duck.
