Paceman Charlie Morris admits he has always been aware of Worcestershire's "great cricket history" and would dearly love to help bring more of the same sort of success to New Road in the years to come.
Morris has already helped Worcestershire gain promotion to Division One of the LV = County Championship after his first full season with the county.
Now he is hoping he can help the club establish themselves in the top flight although he recognises the big challenge that lies ahead in trying to achieve that goal.
He said: "It will be huge if do it (stayed up). You look at the history of the club and there is so much success and it would be great to establish ourselves in Division One.
"You only have to go downstairs into the Tom Graveney Lounge and look at the walls and see all of the teams that have won the Championship and all the success.
"When I was growing up as a little boy and looking into cricket, I always knew that Worcestershire was steeped in great cricket history.
"You only have to go downstairs to know and look at some of the players who have played here.
"That's one thing I think about sometimes that myself and the squad are on the same pitch as some of the greats, Ian Botham and the many others, who have played for this club and that is really special.
"There is a lot of history and it would be great to establish ourselves in Division One again and bring back some more County Championship trophies in a few years time."
Morris, who ended 2014 with 52 Championship wickets, added: "At the end of the day, it is going to come down to the hard work we as a squad put in over the winter ensuring we are in a good position to stay up.
"We all collectively again have got to roll our sleeves up and dig out even more than this year and improve. We can do that and hopefully we will."
