Joe Leach will make the first appearance of his current spell with North Canberra Gungahlin in Saturday's home ACT Premier Cricket first grade match with Weston Creek Molonglo.

The new Worcestershire captain has joined up with the Northies for a second time in time for the 50 overs a side contest.

He will be looking to help them revive their fortunes after defeats in their opening three matches against Queanbeyan, Ginninderra and Eastlake.

Leach scored 634 runs and picked up 32 wickets when playing for North Canberra during the 2014-2015 campaign.

He will become the seventh current Worcestershire player to taste action Down Under this winter.

In the same competition, Charlie Morris's side will travel to do battle with ANU after the paceman picked up two wickets in the win over Western District UC.

Jack Shantry has been included in Sutherland's squad for the two-day clash with visiting Manly-Warringah in the New South Wales Premier first grade.

Shantry missed the two T20 matches on Sunday after suffering a foot injury during the clash with Eastern Suburbs on the previous day.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore's team, Penrith Panthers, will strive to bounce back from their reversal against Manly-Warringah when they start a NSW Premier first grade two-day game away to Randwick-Petersham.

Ed Barnard and Alex Hepburn will be aiming for successful conclusions to their games in the Western Australia Cricket Association first grade for Scarborough and Willetton Dragons respectively.

South Perth will resume on 23-0 in reply to Scarborough's 247 all out while Subiaco Floreat will continue from 33-1 in pursuit of Willetton's 202 of which Hepburn contributed 60.

George Rhodes completes the cluster of County players in action this weekend when Tea Tree Gully travel to East Torrens to start a two-dayer in the South Australia Cricket Association first grade.
