OLLIE’S FINE FORM CONTINUES AS GRAFTON WIN THRILLER

Ollie Westbury’s excellent winter continued as he top-scored for Grafton United in their three run win over Waitakere CC in the Jeff Crowe Cup One-Day Championship.

The Worcestershire batsman followed up his fine form in the T20 competition by making 83 batting at number three.

Westbury has now scored 393 runs in seven knocks for Grafton at an average of 56.14.

His efforts helped seal a third successive victory in the competition for Grafton who top the seven-team Pool A.

Westbury struck nine boundaries in his 109 ball knock and was the chief contributor to Grafton’s 216-9 in 50 overs.

He came in at 35-1 and was sixth out at 195 in the 47th over, having added 65 for the fifth wicket with Hamish Robertson (25).

Waitakere looked set for victory after reaching 150-3 in the 35th over.

But their last seven wickets went down for 63 runs and, in a thrilling finish, they were dismissed for 213 in 49.5 overs.
